See what the world is saying about The TimeMachine.

The TimeMachine, a wall-hung clock designed by artist Maarten Kraanen from recycled bicycle parts, distills formal and technical complexity into a clear, simple-seeming structure. (And while Kraanen's original clock of this type now is in a clock museum in Utrecht, his design continues in the mini-production by the artist and a helper, so the ticker you are seeing here is one of those.)

The surprising freshness of this work with its understated approach commands the viewer's attention. Adding a final touch of pathos here is the scratchy sound of the bicycle horn striking the hour - a cyclist's poignant cry in an unfeeling world of speeding motorists.
